We provide tutoring and classes for newcomers in our community. This includes conversation classes, language assessments and preparation for Immigration exams.

Learning English as a second language is much different from learning as a native English speaker.   These programs are not just about grammar, spelling and vocabulary.  Our ESL Instructors and Tutors bring fun and friendly learning into the classroom, and teach about things like culture, money, and living life in Canada.  Our English Language programs are designed to help learners who are new to the English Language.

If you are new to the English language and looking to improve your English skills for work, citizenship, education or just to gain confidence with the language, we are here to help.

It is important to meet with our ESL Coordinator to determine which program would suit you best.  Our Coordinator can let you know dates and time of programs available.  Please call our office or stop by to arrange an assessment.

ESL Beginners Morning Group

Call for dates and times

Learners will practice their listening and speaking skills by engaging in listening and speaking activities. Learners will listen to a number of listenings for a variety of purposes. For example, students will listen to a conversation between two people and answer listening comprehension questions to demonstrate their understanding of the what was said.  Learners will also have the opportunity to engage in a discussion about the topic they have listened to in the first hour. In the second hour, the learners will respond to the listening by having a group discussion about the topic. This will allow the learners to practice new vocabulary, role play based on the information from the listening, and improve their overall communication abilities.
